Motek’s Memoirs

Imre Grosz goes by many names: Saba, Saba Raba, Beru, Dov, Dad, and Motek. Each name reflects a different stage or aspect of his life.

These memoirs, compiled by his daughter-in-law over many conversations, describe his early life, before and after the Holocaust.

Together with his wife Miriam, he built a family starting with their children, Gil and Karen, which has since grown to include 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren as of Saba’s 90th birthday coinciding with this publication.

Anyone who has met Imre will agree that he continues to inspire with his generosity, humour, wisdom, and spirit of indomitability.
